Kara Kane is the community relations coordinator for Bertrand Chaffee Hospital and development coordinator for the Bertrand Chaffee Hospital Foundation. Kane is a former SGI school board member and moderates an online group for people who “live in, work in or otherwise love the Springville community.”
Kane appreciates working for a non-profit facility that is also a major employer for the area. “Our connection with the Chamber is helpful in helping to promote the value of our hospital to other members and their employees,” she said. “I respect the ability of the Chamber to bring people together from different industries and fields to come up with creative ideas to address common challenges.”

Emerling Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram
Tom Dinse is part of the Emerling Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership in Springville. He has been in the vehicle sales and service industry for about 40 years. A graduate of Hamburg High School and Bryant and Stratton Business Institute, he also served in the U.S. Air Force. Tom has served on the Springville Youth Incorporated board, and is a member of the American Legion. He and his wife, Candi, have two children and four grandchildren. In another life, Tom would be a disc jockey at WOLD.

Colleen Mahoney has been the editor of the Springville Journal since 2014. Although she is a transplant to the area, Mahoney has embraced Springville life and all it has to offer. Mahoney feels everyone has a story to tell, and loves to be the one who tells it. “I love to write, but I also love meeting new people and sharing their stories,” she said.

William Krebs retired from a career as a high school English teacher, and has been honored by the New York State English Council as a Teacher of Excellence. He has 25 years of experience in village government.
Krebs represents the Village of Springville at Chamber meetings. “The Village strives to build a close partnership with the local business community,” he said. “Village representatives must participate in community and business development.” The Village’s $9 million budget includes a general fund, water fund, sewer fund and electric fund, representing an array of essential services for local residents and businesses.
Krebs’s favorite Chamber event is the Oktoberfest. It is traditional for the Mayor to tap the first keg. Krebs enthusiastically participates in this custom in Springville.

Jennifer L.S. Weber has been a prolific blogger/writer/freelance consultant since 1999 and has twenty years of professional experience in non-profit management, public relations, fundraising, marketing and event planning. She currently is a real estate agent and a happy homesteader at Weber Wonderland living in Springville, NY alongside her husband, two lovable brindle rescue dogs and four sweet kitty cats.
